While the ambiance starts as you enter the fortress indoors to show your tickets, the attraction is outdoors in the courtyard and on all four bastions.

The exploration and discovery of this immersive experience typically takes 40-60 minutes

Winter’s Dream is open 6 days a week, closed on Tuesdays and will run from December 8th – March 31, 2024.

Opening times will vary throughout the season based on the changing sunset time.

Special open days are Tuesday 12/26/2023 and 12/31/2023 for New Year’s Eve.

Winter’s Dream will be closed on the following days: 12/25/2023 (Christmas), 1/1/2024 (New Year’s Day) and 1/2/2024.

The event contains many strong lighting effects, of which some may flicker or strobe.

Bundle up in warm winter clothing and layers, including hats, gloves, and scarves. Comfortable footwear- winter boots are best. High-heeled shoes and flats can be slippery and are not recommended.

While all three attractions take place in Lake George, they are all very different from each other:

The Lake George Winter’s Dream sparks joy and wonder, immersing visitors in light, sound, original music video production and interactivity in a dreamlike immersive experience and takes place at the Fort William Henry Historical Fortress. Open 6 nights a week, closed on Tuesdays.

Winter Realm is next door to the fortress at the Festival Commons in Lake George. The Wintertainment Destination will unfold, featuring skating, entertainment, ice sculptures, snow play yard, Santa’s Village and a Polar Ice Bar. Opening on Thanksgiving weekend.

Winter’s Carnival takes place over the weekends in February and offers many weekend events, from fireworks to outhouse races, car races, contests, cook-offs, and more.

Tickets to the event are discounted for groups of 15+. We also offer fantastic low rates midweek and low mid-week hotel rates for direct bookings that include a savings passport to area restaurants and attractions.

Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check. Please give yourself enough time to park and check-in (½ hour total).

We can only guarantee entry if you arrive at the time indicated on your ticket. Plan for ½ hour to park and check-in. If you arrive after that time, you have the ability to change your tickets online for a future time or date with no additional charge. VIP Flex ticket holders may enter at any time.

Tickets are non-refundable. However, you may change your ticket day and time slot for available slots through the online ticketing system.

No, due to limited space, there will be stroller parking outside the experience. Strollers are not permitted within the experience. Please note we do not have baby-changing facilities in the historic fortress.

Yes, depending on the width of your device, the fortress has undergone significant construction to accommodate wheelchairs. We have a limited number of complimentary wheelchairs available as well.
